The seven park of fairies
a folklore from kerinci,jambi
along time ago, there live two
young men in the side of jugle, named gindo rajo and alam sudi. Every day, they
went into the jungle to find rattan and resin, then they made them be jangki,
keranjang, and other souvenirs.
One day, gindo rajo and alam sudi heared a strange voice in the
jungle. It is a woman’s voice. Suddenly
they shocked that the voice was the fairies’ voice. Looking at the human coming.the
fairies come back to their heaven. One of the fairy could not fly with them.
Because her crown was lost in the earth.
Alam
sudi helped unfortune fairy to find her crown along the river. He walk away throught
the river to find it. Then he arrived to the down stream. Then, they found it
on the beach.
While alam sudi was walking down the stream,gindo rajo helped
the fairy to make the seven park of fairy on the top of the hill.”don’t be sad fairy, i will build the beautiful
gardens for you on the earth” said gindo rajo.
When the fairy was very happy with her beautiful garden on the
earth, god from heaven coming to call for the fairy. With god’s magic power he took the fairy back to the
heaven. Gindo rajo was transfigured be a tiger to keep the seven parks.
Then alam sudi came back to the jugle with the crown in his
hand. But he did not find his elder brother, gindo rajo and the fairy there
anymore. He go to the south to meditate on the big stone. He lift the crown up
to the air with two hand. He hoped god would take the crown back.day by day, he
meditated on the big stone. Finally he was mildewed and then be high and high
like a mount, and now we know that the mount is kerinci mount and the seven
part of the fairy is danau gunung tujuh.
